We are seeking a skilled and passionate Trauma-Informed Outpatient Therapist to join our dynamic team and help us continue our mission of supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and empowerment. Job Duties:
Provide counseling and psychotherapy Complete progress notes and treatment plans in a timely manner (24 hours) Participate in paid staff meetings and clinical supervision Utilize a variety of tools to measure clinical outcomes for clientele
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy for clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, mood disorders and relationship issues. Utilize trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strength-based therapeutic approaches to support clients in their healing process. Help clients navigate and heal from trauma, such as childhood abuse, intimate partner violence, community violence, racial trauma, discrimination, and more. Create a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, identities, and healing. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community organizations to support clients' holistic needs. Maintain confidential and accurate case notes, treatment plans, and progress documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, culturally relevant therapeutic interventions, and mental health diagnoses. Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and self-care practices to ensure the well-being of both clients and staff.
Qualifications:
Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) with experience in trauma-informed care and working with diverse populations. Minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy to individuals with a range of mental health diagnoses. Strong commitment to providing ethical, inclusive, and affirming care for all clients, especially those from marginalized backgrounds. Experience with trauma-focused interventions such as
EMDR, CPT, DBT, IFT
mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
What We Need:
Full-time availability (must be able to provide a minimum of 30 hours of availability a week; must complete a minimum of 25 clinical sessions a week) Utilize a trauma-informed approach to treatment Interest in working in a small-to-medium size practice setting Training and experience in evidence-based theoretical approaches and clinical interventions Strong clinical writing skills and organizational skills High level of professionalism with client and colleague engagement
