The role includes developing individualized treatment plans, providing one-on-one counseling, and facilitating therapeutic group sessions. The Residential Services Clinician offers the opportunity to provide quality care in a dynamic and team-oriented outpatient substance use disorder treatment setting helping individuals along the path of long-term recovery. The Residential Services Clinician will work as a part of a multi-functioning team that operates interdependently with each other.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to identify needs, risks and eligibility for services. Provide group and individual counseling services using various therapeutic modalities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and 42CFR regulations. Develop comprehensive treatment plans with clients to set therapeutic goals across all services enrolled in. Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals and community partners to ensure integrated patient care. Stay informed about current research and best practices in behavioral health treatment. Educate clients about mental health conditions, coping strategies and available resources. Monitor client progress and provide meaningful input to the residential treatment team. Participate in on-going professional development and training to enhance clinical skills. Intervening with emergency care protocols when clients are experiencing a crisis. Participate in agency meetings and events as requested/required. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
) Master's degree in social work, counseling or a related field preferred . Valid Virginia state licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc), licensed from a state with reciprocity with Virginia or license-eligible in Virginia preferred . Minimum CSAC or CSAC-Eligible in Commonwealth of VA. Experience in residential services is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of clinical counseling techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Understanding of
HIPAA/42CFR
regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
