CSAC (Substance Abuse Counselor) PHP Program| Growth Opportunity| Flexible Schedule

Peaceful Pathways Mental Health Agency is seeking a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) to join our growing Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP - ASAM Level 2.5) in South Hill, VA. This is a flexible opportunity with consistent hours (15-30 per week) and strong potential for growth into a full- time role as program census increases. Position Overview This role provides clinical support within a structured PHP setting, delivering high-quality substance use treatment services to individuals in recovery. Responsibilities Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions in a PHP setting Complete substance use assessments and assist with treatment planning Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid and state guidelines Support clients in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery goals Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure coordinated care Participate in team meetings and case reviews Minimum Requirements (Must Have) Active CSAC certification in Virginia (REQUIRED) At least 2 years of substance use counseling experience preferred Ability to complete documentation in a timely and compliant manner Preferred Qualifications Experience in PHP, IOP, or structured outpatient programs Candidates comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment encouraged to apply Knowledge of ASAM criteria Strong group facilitation skills Schedule Part-time (approximately 15-30 hours per week) Flexible schedule based on program needs Opportunity for increased hours as program census grows Compensation $33.00 - $36.00 per hour (based on experience) Higher rates may be considered for candidates with PHP/IOP experience Why Join Peaceful Pathways?
