Job Description

Academy School is a K-6 Elementary School, located on 200+ acres of forested land. We are seeking a dynamic, professional candidate to fill the role of school guidance counselor. This is a versatile position that requires great communication skills and flexible thinking. The ideal candidate will be trauma informed, dedicated to creating a school counseling program that aligns with ASCA national standards and serves all students, and who is committed to fostering equity for all students. Our model focuses on direct services to students in classrooms as well as individual and small group levels. Candidates should be comfortable case managing in collaboration with classroom teachers, administration and other members of the health and wellness team, as well as consulting with staff on universal SEL interventions, crisis intervention, and mandated reporting. Positive communication with families, outside agencies, and among school staff is a must. Interest in or experience with restorative practices is preferred. Please apply via schoolspring.
