POSITION SUMMARY
Come join our Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Team at IKRON Greater Seattle to serve the Eastside area! PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) is a multi-disciplinary clinical team that provides wrap-around behavioral health treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. The Mental Health Counselor with PACT provides mental health treatment to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Using evidence-based practices, Mental Health Counselors provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. As part of the PACT team, Mental Health Counselors coordinate with nurses, peer support counselors, case managers, and substance use treatment professionals to provide intensive treatment to clients with mental health issues. JOB DUTIES
Provide individual, group, and family therapy Provide mental health assessments for new program clients Develop an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with each client Assist with case management such as assisting clients with completion of benefits paperwork or securing housing, monitoring of protective payee agreement, and connecting to community resources Monitor client symptoms and medication response Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely and client-centered manner
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in a human services field (Preferred) Agency Affiliated Counselor license or license in WA state as LMHC or LMHCA or Social Work Clinical License (Preferred) Two years relevant experience Valid Washington Driver's License, clean driving record, reliable transportation Excellent verbal and written communication skills General skill in exercising independent judgment, tact, patience, and understanding; maintaining effective working relationships with clients, other staff, and the community Must complete all in-service and external training requirements Commitment to the mission of
