Develops and executes short-term, solution-focused clinical counseling trement plans for individuals who request such services and who present commonly occurring life circumstance issues. Provides individual and group counseling services, to individuals, couples, families, or groups. Refers clients who present with issues falling outside the authorized scope of care within Fleet and Family Support Programs to military or civilian behavioral health providers. Provides critical incident intervention, when requested. Assesses and triages clients presenting with a risk of harm to self or others, with approprie referral to the nearest behavioral health provider. Receives and assesses referrals made by military and civilian agencies. Maintains case records and metrics in the Fleet and Family Support Management Informion System (FFSMIS), and stistics in accordance with Navy policies and regulions, complying with FFSC clinical quality standards and Counseling and Advocacy Program Desk Guides. Provides safety assessment, safety planning, and triage of allegions of alleged child or domestic abuse, referring allegions requiring Family Advocacy Program (FAP) involvement to the homeport FFSC, once immedie safety concerns have been addressed. Provides individual or group trement in coordinion with FAP, SAPR, and Sailor Assistance and Intercept for Life (SAIL) program case managers and response coordinors. Serves as the command's SAIL case manager in coordinion with the homeport FFSC. Develops unique trainings/classes based on the needs of the command. Serves as command liaison, supporting referrals to FFSC Counseling and other FFR Programs. Communices directly with the ship's leadership triad regarding command clime, individual service members, and provides updes regarding FAP and SAIL programs. Attends senior leadership meetings. Engages in collaborion with various command stakeholders (e.g., department head, work center supervisor, legal and medical personnel, safety officer, chaplains, etc.) to provide consultion regarding overall command health and wellness initiives, and to support interventions with individual service members. Participes in Command Resiliency Team (CRT) initiives, aiding and providing insight into active-duty wellness programs. May be required to travel other ports or ships within the region to provide coverage or victim assistance. Sexual assault response coordinion/training and consultion duties comprise 25% of incumbent's time and include but are not limited to: Serves as a liaison to the homeport SARC while deployed. Receives all training required of a SARC; however, the homeport SARC shall have the responsibility for overall case management and case entry into the Defense Sexual Assault Incident Dabase (DSAID). Ensures cases are transferred to the homeport SARC expeditiously and th victim confidentiality is maintained. Provides an immedie response and coordinion for allegions of sexual assault, which includes receiving the restricted or unrestricted report, assuring the victim is assigned a SAPR Victim Advoce and is offered medical care, and completing required notificions. Provides sexual assault awareness and prevention training when deployed, as requested. Communices directly with the ship's Commanding Officer to provide regular upde regarding SAPR implemention and assist with meeting annual SAPR training requirements. Provides SAPR training, including training for SAPR Victim Advoces while deployed as requested by Command. May serve as the behavioral health representive for the sexual assault Case Management Group (CMG). Required to be trained in all positions within the SAPR program. Minimum of two years ( least 2000) full-time, post masters supervised clinical experience. Minimum of two years, full time post-license clinical experience. OSD FAP standards also require two years of experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse. Additional informion The incumbent required to deploy sea on board US Navy ships. Deployment lengths will vary from a few days to over 10 months a time. The incumbent will receive a deployment differential of 40% of his/her salary while deployed. Regions may approve additional compensory time-off based on a sliding scale depending on length of deployment. The work schedule while deployed will vary depending on requirements. The incumbent on call 24 hours a day while deployed for crisis intervention situions. At sea, the incumbent shares a steroom in officer berthing; meals are obtained by joining the Officers' Mess as a paying member, and meals are purchased by monthly billing. This position is mission essential. The incumbent may be required to travel, deploy, or provide services homeport during a variety of crises and disasters, including serving during times of world conflict, nural disasters, accidents, man-made crises, and other situions as an extension of the FFSC mass care and crisis response program.
