@stevenscountywa.gov Role Description Join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) team and make an immediate impact in the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. As a Mental Health Counselor, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based assessment, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, care coordination, and discharge planning in a 24/7 residential crisis stabilization setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll help residents stabilize, connect with community resources, and transition successfully to ongoing care. This position also offers the opportunity to become a Washington State Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) and play a vital role in supporting individuals during some of their most critical moments. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Eligible to serve as a Mental Health Professional in Washington State. Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential required (or ability to obtain as required); independent licensure (LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, etc.) preferred. Ability to obtain Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) certification within 90 days of hire. Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, documentation, and communication skills. Valid Washington driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel locally as needed.
