Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Center Mental Health Counselor to provide behavioral health services for students enrolled at a federal Job Corps Center. The counselor will conduct assessments, provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, case management, mental health education, and coordinate care with medical providers and center staff. The ideal candidate enjoys working with adolescents and young adults while promoting emotional wellness, student retention, and successful career readiness.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for applicants and students. Develop individualized treatment and care management plans. Provide individual counseling and brief therapeutic interventions. Deliver crisis intervention and emergency mental health evaluations. Coordinate referrals to community mental health providers when appropriate. Monitor students with ongoing mental health conditions. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in student health records. Participate in disability accommodation meetings and multidisciplinary case reviews. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, counselors, and substance abuse professionals. Conduct mental health education presentations for new students. Develop wellness initiatives and psychoeducational group sessions. Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards. Participate in Job Corps quality assurance and compliance activities. Minimum Qualifications Active, unrestricted license as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Clinical Psychologist Or another independently licensed mental health professional approved by the Government. Eligible to practice independently in the state where services are provided. Experience conducting mental health assessments and treatment planning. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to pass federal background screening. Preferred Qualifications Experience with adolescents or young adults. Experience in school-based, community mental health, residential treatment, or behavioral health settings. Crisis intervention experience. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and case management.
Pay:
$37.16 - $44.75 per hour
