Position Summary As the Treatment Specialist , you will function as a liaison with the treatment team, patient, support systems, and community resources; and will be involved in education and treatment monitoring activities authorized by MJTC or MMHI Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Programs.

Additional responsibilities include:

Establishing and monitoring goals and objectives for SUD treatment services at MMHI, Ensuring that appropriate assessment and treatment are provided, Coordinating referrals throughout MMHI, Providing screening, assessment, education, treatment, service oversight and service accountability to patients at MMHI, Providing clinical consultation to all staff providing SUD services at MMHI and ensuring that all staff providing these services are competent to practice such treatment as defined by the Department of Regulation and Licensing, and are established in best practices for SUD services, Ensuring that training is provided for MMHI staff in the area of co-occurring disorders, Serving as a MMHI representative with community agencies, departments, and external committees providing education on co-occurring disorders. Salary Information The starting pay is $34.46 per hour (approximately $71,600 annually) based on state seniority. Additional increases are based on years of service in the chart below. Years of State Service Pay Rate 0 $34.46 3 $35.18 5 $35.91 7 $36.63 9 $37.36 11 $38.08 $.80 /hour night differential and an $.80 /hour weekend differential applies to worked shifts. 12-month probationary period is required. This position is classified as a Treatment Specialist 2 and is in pay schedule and range is 12/63. Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following: Experience providing assessments and treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Experience working with adolescents or juvenile patients that have mental illness. Licensure from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), or Substance Abuse Counselor in Training (SAC-IT). Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following: Licensure or certification from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services with a Professional Counselor Training License (LPC-IT), Professional Counselor License (LPC), Social Worker Training Certificate (SWTC), Social Worker, or in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT).
