Build Your Purpose. As a Behavioral Support Professional, you will provide: Complete/Review behavioral assessments, develop behavior support plans and train Direct Service Professionals (DSP) on the implementation of treatment plans. Attend IDT meetings for assigned consumers and be prepared with written recommendations and current programs for all scheduled meetings. Analyze behavioral data at least monthly and complete Monthly Summaries for the clinical record for each assigned consumer, documenting progress, regression and recommended revisions to training plans/ programs. Complete documentation of billable activities that fully outline the purpose for the activity, findings and a clinical opinion to determine future course of action for each consumer, within required deadlines. Evaluate all behavioral incidents within 72 hours of occurrence and arrange for any identified retraining as deemed necessary. Provide training and support to natural family members of assigned consumers as needed, to ensure continuity of care and generalization of identified goals and objectives. Serve as a liaison between SBH and outside agencies and community members. Actively advocate for consumer rights and submit any potential rights restrictions to the Human Rights Committee prior to implementation.
