GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides outpatient behavioral health therapy to clients. The Therapist works in collaboration with other clinical staff and community support providers to provide the high-quality integrated servicesPERFORMANCE STANDARDS 1.
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for their professional licensure. 2. Demonstrates flexibility and adapts to changes in workload, schedule, department function and procedures. 3. Participates actively in creating a positive and harmonious work environment by demonstrating team work and cooperative, responsive behaviors. 4. Demonstrates effective communication methods and skills, using lines of authority appropriately. 5. Meets/exceeds competency criteria specific to the tasks and duties of the position. 6. Demonstrates service excellence in all activities and interactions. 7. Documents the clinical assessment with appropriate diagnosis on all evaluations. 8. Ability to provide back-up to other Community Crisis department positions as needed. 9. Works collaboratively with clients and other staff in formulating goals for treatment. 10. Clients are able to remain out of hospital inpatient services.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Master's Social Work degree from accredited educational institution 2. Current LMSW, LISW, LMHC or LMFT license with State of Iowa 3. Knowledge in crisis intervention techniques and brief therapy 4. Ability to work cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team 5. Clinical experience in evaluation, assessment and multi-axial diagnoses of adolescents and adults in various stages of development cycle 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 7. Ability to verbally and physically de-escalate a client utilizing BMC trained philosophies 8.
