JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Summary:
Interviews and interacts with patients and when indicated, their advocates, to obtain mental status and psychiatric and social histories relevant to their current emotional/behavioral problem(s). Uses current evidence-based knowledge and skills to assess psychiatric emergencies and to provide sound, professional care and crisis intervention services to patients. Collaborates with outside facilities referring patients to CHMC to collect documentation, review and present to on call provider if beds are available.Education:
Position requires graduation from an accredited Masters Degree Program in a mental health discipline (i.e., social work, counseling, psychology).Registration/Certification/Licensure:
A license in their particular discipline (e.g., social work, counseling, or psychology - LMSW, LCSW-C., LGPC, LCPC) Position requires a minimum of 6 months postgraduate clinical experience.(documented field experience during Masters degree can be considered on case by case basis)Experience:
Position requires a minimum of 6 months postgraduate clinical experience.Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice. Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice. Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements. On call hours include coming in for a minimum of two hours during each assigned on call shift Follow current Holiday Work Requirements Guidelines Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.Similar jobs in Frederick, MD
