This role will likely require full time in the near future. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral therapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional, psychological, and developmental challenges, fostering resilience and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through clinical counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and collaborative care coordination within a supportive environment committed to excellence in patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver specialized services including child & family counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and Alzheimer's care as appropriate. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies. Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, conduct intake assessments, and facilitate case management activities. Participate in clinical research initiatives related to behavioral health outcomes and contribute data collection efforts for ongoing studies. Requirements Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with active state certification. One-Year Employment Agreement Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Strong background working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics including Alzheimer's patients, and those with disabilities or special education needs. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards compliant with HIPAA. Experience working within hospital or community care settings with home-based or community outreach programs preferred. Ability to handle crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity. Knowledge of ICD coding systems for diagnoses and experience working with EMR systems for data collection and record management is highly desirable.
