Therapist-LISW-S Companion Plus Care - 5.0 Toledo, OH Job Details Full-time From $65,000 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree in social work Master of Social Work Evidence-based practice Crisis counseling in health services social work Full Job Description A Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S) is an advanced clinical social worker who provides mental health services and supervises other social workers pursuing clinical licensure. LISW-S Job Description Position Summary The LISW-S provides clinical assessment, diagnosis, counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and case management services for individuals, families, or groups. The role may also include supervising social work staff and interns to ensure compliance with state licensing standards and ethical practices. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health evaluations Develop individualized treatment plans Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes Coordinate care with healthcare providers, schools, courts, or community agencies Provide crisis intervention and safety planning Supervise LMSWs/LSWs seeking independent licensure Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and ethical standards Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations Required Qualifications Master?s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Current LISW-S license in the applicable state Clinical experience in mental health, counseling, or behavioral health Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices Strong communication, documentation, and crisis-management skills Preferred Skills Trauma-informed care Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Substance abuse treatment experience EMR/EHR documentation systems Leadership and supervision experience Common Work Settings Hospitals Community mental health centers Private practice Schools/universities Substance abuse treatment facilities Correctional facilities Telehealth organizations Sample Salary Range (U.S.) Approximately $65,000?$100,000+ annually, depending on state, experience, and setting.
