Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities. In this engaging position, you will provide compassionate care through various therapeutic modalities, including individual and group counseling with a "whole person'" approach. Your expertise will guide clients through their mental health journeys, empowering them to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. What you'll do Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide clinical counseling and support through individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques such as behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. Perform diagnostic evaluations to accurately assess psychological conditions and recommend appropriate interventions. Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient records. Engage in case management to coordinate care across various services, including home and community care experiences. Facilitate group therapy sessions that foster a supportive environment for sharing and healing among participants. Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay informed about aging issues counseling and geriatrics to effectively address the unique needs of older adults. Basic qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or equivalent certification. Preferred qualifications Experience in community behavioral health practices and private practice. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medical records management. Experience working with at-risk youth and families .
