Work Environment This position allows for the flexibility and comfort of working remotely, with periodic engagements in school settings to assess and support students on-site. You will utilize telehealth technology to maintain client contact, manage cases, and provide therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique needs of students and families, developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic methods. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using online platforms, including tools such as Zoom and secured electronic health record (EHR) systems. Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress towards set therapeutic goals, adjusting care strategies as needed to ensure effective outcomes. Collaborate closely with teachers, school counselors, and other mental health professionals to create a team approach to student care, focusing on both academic and emotional support. Offer crisis intervention services for students experiencing acute distress or emergencies, providing immediate support and creating safety plans with clients and their families. Document all client interactions and treatment sessions in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards in mental health practice. Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in social work and mental health, actively seeking opportunities for continuing education. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. This role is particularly impactful as you will provide support during critical life transitions, addressing issues related to academic stress, peer relationships, and family dynamics. Your work will have a direct influence on fostering a positive school environment and enhancing student well-being. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required to ensure comprehensive knowledge of social work principles and practices. Possession of a current and valid state license to practice as a clinical social worker. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with clients, collaborating with schools, and effectively managing caseloads. The ability to work independently and remotely while also being an effective team member is critical for success in this position. Attention to confidentiality and the sensitivity necessary to handle personal client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in school settings or with adolescent populations, is highly desirable. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Play Therapy, can be advantageous when working with younger clients. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
