Job Summary and Qualifications Demonstrates advanced clinical skills and ability to assess patients to determine appropriate level of care. Identifies cultural considerations, gender identity and preferred language for patients and family Demonstrates advance practice in assessments, and all other documentation timely and in compliance with requirements (as appropriate to scope) Assesses environment and patient's safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition Identifies risk factors, screening criteria and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement) Recognizes and acts upon unexpected assessment findings Leads in ensuring a safe structured milieu with evidence based treatment modalities/resources Maintains active and timely communication with patients, families, multidisciplinary team and continuum of care providers Provides education and guidance regarding state commitment processes, abuse reporting requirements, duty to warn and guardianship processes.
