Job Description
Department WMC EmPATH Unit-206180 Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift First Shift (United States of America) Pay Range $29.40 - $44.10 Job Description The Behavioral Health Clinician provides mental health screening, substance abuse screening, brief intervention, brief therapy/psychotherapy, and referral to services for adult patients in crisis. The Clinician conducts initial intake assessments, crisis intervention, and clinical determination for level of care. The Clinician works with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, mental health associates, nurses, and off-site behavioral health staff. The Clinician is responsible for ongoing care coordination on individuals in behavioral health crisis. The Clinician completes all required documentation timely and in accordance with State regulations. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning. Most of the Clinician's time will be spent in patient service delivery. The Clinician assesses patients' behavioral health/substance use needs through screening, deliver brief motivationally informed interventions to promote healthy behavior change and connect patients with the appropriate level of care they need. Education Master's degree in the Behavioral Health Field, such as Social Work or Counseling, is required. Experience Experience working in medical setting is preferred. Certification & Licensures BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to the completion of orientation.
