Our 3-year-old attends school during the day, so the role will primarily focus on our 1-year-old, with care for both girls before and after school and when our older daughter is home. We are hoping to find someone who is not only a wonderful caregiver but also enjoys helping young children learn and explore the world around them. The ideal candidate is attentive, energetic, and proactive, and will engage our children through reading, play, music, outdoor time, age-appropriate activities, and outings. Responsibilities Provide loving, attentive care for our 1-year-old throughout the day Care for both children when they are together, including before and after school Safely drive our 3-year-old to and from preschool Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development Take the children to parks, libraries, classes, playgroups, and other local activities Prepare and serve meals and snacks Manage nap and daily schedules Handle children's bathing, dressing, and other daily care needs Help maintain a consistent and predictable routine for the children Keep children's play areas and belongings organized and tidy Communicate with parents about the children's days, activities, and needs Qualifications Previous professional experience caring for infants and young children, including multiple children at once Warm, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children Reliable, responsible, and committed to a consistent schedule Proactive and able to independently plan a fun, engaging day with a young child Comfortable caring for two children of different ages Strong understanding of infant and toddler development Safe and confident driver with a reliable personal vehicle Clean driving record CPR/First Aid certification preferred Non-smoker Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM We are looking for someone who will be a trusted, long-term member of our family and who takes pride in providing exceptional care while helping our daughters grow, learn, and thrive.
