Job Description
Eastside Christian Schools is hiring Care Team members who love Jesus, love His children, and are wanting to share the love of Christ in an academic school setting. Strong candidates will have An authentic relationship with Christ A love of students and learning At least 1 year of professional experience working with youth Kinder-12th grades General knowledge of child care and safety regulations Short commute to our school Flexible and open schedule Experience in handling food in the school setting Physically able to keep up with lower and upper level elementary students Prompt and reliable Engaging and approachable, especially to younger children A teachable heart High regard for diversity in the student population Strong communication skills Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Strong organizational skills to manage students, schedule, and school supplies Grace and respect for colleagues, parents, and families
Responsibilities:
- Care for our students during the following times during the day: 1) morning and afternoon recess supervision, 2) lunch preparations and supervision, and 3) aftercare program supervision
- Follow school rules and general childcare procedures and protocols
- Maintain a positive and inclusive play and study environment
- Implement behavior management strategies as needed to promote a safe and respectful recess, lunch, and aftercare
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency in student learning experiences.
