THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Daisy Family! About the Family A thoughtful, professional family based in Redwood City is seeking a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant to join them as they welcome a newborn this May. They have an almost 3-year-old daughter and are building a home environment that is calm, intentional, and deeply rooted in connection and consistency. They are seeking a caregiver who holds a deep respect for children and is committed to supporting a grounded, relationship-centered childhood experience. This family maintains a low-screen household and prioritizes presence, play, and real-world engagement throughout the day. Their parenting approach is conscious and attachment-based, emphasizing connection, attunement, and respect for the child. The ideal candidate will feel aligned with these values and be able to uphold them consistently in daily care. This role will evolve thoughtfully over time. Initially, the primary focus will be on their toddler, with newborn care gradually increasing as the baby grows. Around the 12-month mark, responsibilities will begin to shift to include approximately 25% care for the baby, and by 15 months, the role will more evenly support both children. This position is not intended to include deep cleaning, but rather thoughtful, day-to-day household support that contributes to a well-functioning home environment. Their Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is aligned with a connection-based caregiving philosophy and brings a calm, thoughtful presence to the home. A nanny who is intuitive, patient, and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children in a meaningful way. They are seeking a long-term partner in care—someone who is excited to grow with the family and become a consistent, trusted presence in their children's lives. A background or interest in early childhood development is a plus, as is the ability to support both a toddler and, over time, a growing infant with confidence and ease. This role is well-suited for a professional who is organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing childcare with light family assistant responsibilities during naps or quieter moments in the day. A college degree is required for this position , along with strong English proficiency and clear, professional communication skills. Candidates must have experience working with toddlers, and a background in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, though not required. Familiarity with or an interest in RIE, Waldorf, and/or Montessori approaches is also preferred, as these philosophies align closely with the family's values and caregiving style.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills. Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children. Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CPR certification (if applicable). Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters. Responsibilities Childcare Duties Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care primarily for the toddler, with gradual integration of newborn care Engaging in play-based, screen-free activities that support emotional and cognitive development Supporting routines, transitions, and daily rhythms with consistency and care Assisting with feeding, diapering, and general infant care as needed, with increasing involvement over time Creating a nurturing, calm, and connected environment for both children Family Assistant Duties Children's laundry and organization Light tidying and maintaining shared spaces related to the children Meal prep for the children and occasional family support General household organization and support during naps or school hours
