SJ41K2 About the Role A thoughtful, engaged family in San Jose is seeking a full-time infant nanny for their daughter. This is a long-term position (1+ years) focused on development, consistency, and building a strong working relationship with the family. The ideal candidate is reliable, calm, proactive, and developmentally minded, with strong infant care experience and the ability to support a child's growth into the toddler years. This is a respectful, collaborative home environment where the focus is on quality childcare, communication, and long-term partnership. Schedule Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM 40 guaranteed hours per week This is a stable daytime role. Evening and weekend coverage is handled separately. ResponsibilitiesInfant Care Provide attentive, safety-focused care Manage feeding (bottles → solids), diapering, and naps Maintain consistent daily routines Support transitions through developmental stages Development & Engagement Support early developmental milestones Engage in age-appropriate activities, reading, walks, and play Encourage curiosity, independence, and exploration Participate in outings such as parks, classes, and local activities Communication Provide daily updates on sleep, feeding, and activities Share thoughtful observations and developmental insights with parents Collaborate with parents to support routines and growth Child-Related Tasks Baby laundry Bottle cleaning and preparation Organizing baby items and supplies Tidying toys and play areas Qualifications Strong infant care experience (multiple years preferred) Experience supporting development into toddler years CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew) Up-to-date vaccinations Authorized to work in the U.S. Able to pass a background check English fluency Non-smoker Preferred Qualifications Spanish-speaking fluency is a strong bonus (not required) Background in early childhood education or preschool settings Familiarity with developmental or milestone-based approaches Experience introducing solids and preparing simple baby meals Comfortable using apps/tools for communication and tracking Work Environment Organized and respectful household Walkable San Jose neighborhood Parks and activities nearby No pets in the home (family has allergies) The nanny will be encouraged to take the child on regular outings and developmental activities.
