Do you want to make a difference and have fun at work? Join the Youth Services team! Childcare staff are an integral part of the Recreation Department, supporting before and after school care at local school sites. Childcare staff work in a team to provide quality care for children in grades TK - 6th, leading activities, building relationships, and making memories.
Hours per week:
varies, up to 30 hours with flexible options for scheduling. Programs open Monday - Friday, additional opportunities are available within other Parks and Recreation programs if desired. Early morning, mid-day or afternoon shifts available.
JOB SUMMARY
: Child Care Aides are an essential part of the Youth Services team! They engage with kids, play, guide, mentor and have fun at work!
Average hours per week:
10-30 SUPERVISION
RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
: Employees in this classification work under direct supervision of the Childcare Site Specialist
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all tasks that may be found in positions of this class.) Maintain positive relations with parents. Plan and conduct daily schedule of activities. Responsible for the safety, health and happiness of the children. Assist other staff in directing and overseeing children's activities. Chaperone field trips and outdoor activities. Oversee snack preparation. Other duties as assigned.
POSSESSION AND MAINTENANCE OF
Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice will be required Child Abuse Index check Tuberculosis Clearance and satisfactory Health Screening
