This is a live-out, short-term position with the potential to extend if it's a great fit. The ideal candidate is nurturing, engaging, knowledgeable about infant development, and enjoys becoming part of a family's parenting team. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00/9:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM, with 24 guaranteed hours per week. The position begins August 17. Duties and Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving care for one 10-month-old infant. Plan age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones. Prepare and wash bottles and assist with feeding. Handle the child's laundry. Maintain tidy play and nursery areas. Take stroller walks around the neighborhood and nearby Washington Park. Drive the child to activities or outings if needed once trust has been established. Communicate openly with parents regarding the child's daily routine and development. Work collaboratively with parents to provide consistent, high-quality care. Be comfortable working in a home with one medium-sized dog. Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of professional nanny experience caring for infants and toddlers. Strong understanding of infant development and age-appropriate activities. Warm, engaging, dependable, and an excellent communicator. Professional references that can verify childcare experience. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance. At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate (college education preferred). Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction. Non-smoker. CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification before hire. Willing to be paid legally/on payroll.
