Live-In Mothers Helper/ Family Assistant / Household Support in Fort.Lauderdale Start Date:
August 15 A warm, easygoing family is seeking a proactive, intuitive Live-In Family Assistant to become an extension of their home. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting busy families, can anticipate needs, and understands how to "read the room." The family is not looking for a Type A personality or someone who is overly rigid. They value someone who is calm, laid back, adaptable, and naturally takes initiative while respecting boundaries. The home is located in a conservative community where professionalism, discretion, and presentation are important.Schedule:
Monday- Saturday 40-50 hrs/wk Primary hours when beginning: 8:00 AM
- 12:00 PM (morning support during the busiest part of the day) 5:00 PM
- 10:00 PM (evening family assistance) Additional flexibility as needed Schedule will shift to more day time hours when baby arrives in
September Compensation:
$30-35/hour (based on experience) Private Live-in accommodations providedLiving Arrangements:
Private guest area in both homes Approximately half the year will be spent in St. Louis and the remainder of the year in Fort Lauderdale. Domestic and international travel required.Responsibilities:
Approximately 30% childcare support, primarily serving as a second set of hands while mom focuses on the baby. General household upkeep and daily reset (a housekeeper handles deep cleaning once per week). Empty/load dishwasher. Tidy and touch up the home throughout the day. Laundry and general household chores. Walk the family dog. Tidying up after morning rush. Run errands as needed. Assist wherever needed to help the household run smoothly.Ideal Candidate:
Approximately 35-45 years old preferred. Proactive, observant, and self-motivated. Calm, adaptable, and easygoing. Able to anticipate needs without being instructed every step of the way. Knows when to step in and when to step back. Professional appearance and comfortable wearing a family-provided uniform. (Scrubs) Comfortable with frequent travel. Values discretion, organization, and maintaining a well-run home without creating unnecessary structure.
