This leadership role ensures a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, supports staff development, fosters family engagement, and upholds all licensing and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of all center operations. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching and support staff. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices. Child Development & Curriculum Ensure implementation of a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Monitor classrooms and programs to ensure educational goals and standards are met. Promote a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for children. Address behavioral, developmental, or special needs in collaboration with families and staff. Licensing & Compliance Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal childcare regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by licensing agencies. Prepare for and manage licensing inspections and accreditations. Family & Community Engagement Build strong relationships with families through open communication, transparency, and regular updates. Address parent concerns professionally and promptly. Organize events, parent-teacher meetings, and community engagement activities. Financial Oversight Assist in budget development and monitor expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility. Manage enrollment, billing, and fee collection. Seek opportunities for program funding, grants, or partnerships.
