In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can thrive and develop essential skills. Your leadership will ensure that our childcare facility operates smoothly, complies with all safety regulations, and provides high-quality care that promotes childhood development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while fostering a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood education, including infant care, toddler care, preschool activities, and special education needs. Supervise and mentor teaching staff, ensuring classroom management strategies are effective and aligned with best practices in childcare and childhood development. Oversee daily operations of the daycare or childcare center, including enrollment, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with licensing standards. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by enforcing health and safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and maintaining accurate incident reports. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, address concerns, and foster strong relationships built on trust and transparency. Coordinate training sessions for staff on topics such as first aid, behavior management, working with children with disabilities, and caregiving techniques. Manage classroom environments to promote positive behavior management and inclusive practices for children of diverse needs. Skills Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and classroom management techniques. Proven experience working with children in daycare settings or preschool environments, including toddler care and infant care. Strong leadership skills to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and professional growth. Certifications in first aid, CPR, and child safety are highly desirable; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills to engage with parents, staff, and community partners confidently. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and compliance standards. Passion for nurturing young children's growth through engaging activities like babysitting or nannying experience is valued.
