Job Description
Part-Time After-School NannyOverview We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate Part-Time After-School Nanny to support a family by providing attentive, engaging, and reliable childcare for children of various ages. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment . The ideal candidate is proactive, patient, responsible, and experienced in caring for young children, including children with special needs or disabilities. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about childcare, enjoys engaging with children, and is eager to become a trusted part of a family's daily routine. Schedule Monday-Friday, approximately 2:00 PM-6:00 PM The schedule may vary depending on the family's needs and activities. Flexibility is appreciated. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social development. Prepare healthy snacks and meals based on the children's dietary needs and preferences. Assist with homework, reading, and educational activities to support the children's learning goals. Ensure the children's safety by closely monitoring them during indoor and outdoor activities. Perform light housekeeping tasks related to the children, including cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas. Safely transport children to after-school activities, occupational therapy (OT) appointments, playdates, and other scheduled activities as needed. Provide basic first aid or CPR in the event of minor injuries or emergencies, following appropriate safety protocols. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding the children's activities, needs, routines, and progress. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in roles such as babysitting, nannying, daycare, teaching, or childcare . Knowledge of child development and the developmental stages of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children. Experience caring for children with ADHD is highly desirable. CPR and First Aid certification from a recognized organization is required, or the ability and willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Ability to prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with parents and caregivers. Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule during after-school hours. Dependable, patient, compassionate, and safety-conscious.
