Job Description

We are searching for a Childcare Center Director who will be a committed individual that wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families, while effectively and efficiently running all school operations. Some of the exciting things that you will do as a Childcare Center Director include, but are not limited to: Be accountable for the operation of the school, ensuring that the school is operating in accordance with the owner and state licensing standards. Be responsible for ensuring a standard of excellence in education, in care and in safety for the children and parents. Effectively manage, supervise and direct staff. Promote the positive image of the company and play a major role in making the company a provider of choice in educational programs for the communities that we service. Recruit, select and retain quality staff. Help achieve profitability for the company through sales and fiscal responsibility. Manage enrollment-related practices (responding to school inquiries, providing school tours, building enrollment, creating relationships with school families, etc.) Networking and building relationships and brand awareness within the community (hosting school events, attending community events, etc.) Manage school staff (hiring, training, discipline, etc.) and other business-related tasks as necessary. Knowledge of Pro Care is helpful, but not required. Record all fee payments and prepare billing late payments and follow-up actions when necessary.
Childcare Center Director Early Childhood Job Description:
In order to be considered for this position, you must meet all state licensing requirements, including: Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferred. High school diploma or GED and five years of directly related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. CPR and First Aid training/certification required.
Preferred:
40 hours in Director Training This position requires strong customer service focus, communication, and time management skills. Person must also be fiscally responsible and have excellent sales skills since a large part of your responsibilities will include increasing enrollment. Independent judgment is necessary to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with attention to detail. Work requires fact-finding and compilation skills plus ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously, at times with little supervision. This work requires the ability to perform and demonstrate intermediate to advanced level computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point). In addition to producing correspondence, duties may involve assignments that require knowledge and ability to manage social media platforms, plus the use of email and Internet navigation. Excellent oral communication skills and professional demeanor are required while interacting with staff and families, and external constituents (i.e. vendors, potential families), including the ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact. Incumbent must be able to write business correspondence and various narrative reports. Also, must be able to read, analyze, and interpret items such as reports, tables, and other printed related materials.
