4:30 PM-10:30 PM Occasional evenings and weekends Occasional family travel Availability during major family/business events with advance notice We are seeking an exceptional professional nanny with an educational background to become a trusted extension of our family. This is not a basic babysitting position. We are looking for someone who is active, intelligent, safety-conscious, dependable, warm, and capable of making good decisions independently. Our ideal nanny has experience working in a school, classroom, preschool, tutoring, or other educational environment . Previous professional nanny experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Provide attentive, hands-on care and supervision Safely transport the child to activities and local destinations Assist with homework, reading, and academic development Create and follow structured learning and enrichment activities Encourage positive social, emotional, and behavioral development Participate in swimming, outdoor play, sports, games, and other active activities Maintain routines, household expectations, and appropriate boundaries Communicate clearly with parents Travel with the family when needed Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion Non-Negotiable Requirements School, classroom, teaching, tutoring, preschool, or similar educational experience Experience working with elementary-aged children Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable independently transporting a child Strong swimmer and confident supervising a child at a pool Physically active and able to run, play, swim, and keep up with an energetic child Excellent judgment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills Consistent availability for the schedule above Flexibility for occasional nights and weekends Valid passport and ability to travel Strong professional references Minimal personal phone use while supervising the child Comfortable working in a Christian household and respecting the family's values Professional, mature, trustworthy, organized, and discreet Strongly Preferred Current or former teacher Professional nanny experience Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Montessori, child development, or education background Tutoring or curriculum-development experience CPR and First Aid certification Experience working with executive, high-profile, or privacy-sensitive families Strong nanny/employer reviews and long-term references What Matters Most Safety and judgment are extremely important to our family. We need someone who remains alert, anticipates potential problems, and can calmly determine the safest course of action without needing constant instruction. The nanny should also genuinely enjoy being active and engaged. This is not a position for someone who prefers primarily sedentary supervision or frequent personal phone use. We want someone who can help our child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while creating a structured, loving, and safe environment.
