This is an exciting opportunity for a strong operational and people leader who is passionate about high-quality early childhood education and enjoys building teams, improving systems, and driving positive change. The ideal candidate is confident, solutions-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working collaboratively with an engaged ownership and leadership team. We are looking for someone who brings ideas to the table, embraces feedback and continuous improvement, and can effectively translate vision into action. About the Role The Center Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operations, staffing, compliance, enrollment, and day-to-day success of the center. This individual will play a key role in building a positive workplace culture, supporting and developing staff, strengthening relationships with families, and ensuring the center consistently delivers a high-quality experience. We are looking for a leader who does not simply maintain the status quo, but who is excited by opportunities to improve, grow, and build. Key Responsibilities Provide strong day-to-day leadership and oversight of center operations Lead, coach, support, and develop teaching and administrative staff Ensure compliance with all applicable Kentucky licensing regulations and requirements Maintain high standards of health, safety, and program quality Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, and retain high-quality staff Foster a positive, professional, and accountable workplace culture Build strong relationships and maintain excellent communication with families Oversee enrollment and support enrollment growth initiatives Monitor staffing levels and operational needs Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and overall center performance Address challenges proactively and develop practical solutions Implement organizational policies, procedures, and new initiatives effectively Collaborate closely with ownership and senior leadership on strategic and operational priorities Maintain accurate records and ensure administrative responsibilities are completed in a timely manner Support a positive, welcoming, and high-quality environment for children, families, and staff The Leader We're Looking For The successful candidate will be: A confident and approachable people leader Highly organized with strong follow-through Solutions-oriented and proactive Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing new ideas Adaptable and open to change Able to balance independence with collaboration Emotionally intelligent and professional in challenging situations Comfortable holding staff accountable while maintaining a positive culture Passionate about continuous improvement Someone who takes ownership of challenges rather than waiting for direction An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills We value leaders who are collaborative, growth-minded, and committed to building something exceptional. Qualifications Previous experience as a Childcare Center Director, Assistant Director, or other senior leadership role in an early childhood education setting Strong understanding of childcare licensing requirements and regulatory compliance Experience leading, coaching, and managing teams Strong organizational and operational management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working directly with families and addressing parent concerns Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Business, or a related field is an asset Experience with enrollment management, staffing, budgeting, and operational planning is preferred Why Join Us?
