Job Description

We are a Preschool Child Care Wrap Program operating in the Millis Public Schools. We offer child care Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm to children enrolled in the Millis Public Schools' Preschool. Our program wraps around the child's regular 2.5 hour preschool day.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Child Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally and physically. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, values teamwork, and is committed to supporting each child's development.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise and ensure the safety and well-being of preschool-aged children.

Plan and assist with age-appropriate activities.

Encourage children's social and emotional development through play.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

Assist children with lunch and snacks, toileting, handwashing, and other daily routines.

Follow all protocols and health and safety policies.

Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.

Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA credential preferred.

Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or child care setting is preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.

Must pass all required background checks.
