In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can thrive and develop to their fullest potential. Your leadership will ensure that all programs meet licensing standards, promote positive behavior, and support the growth of both children and staff. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support childhood development, including preschool, toddler, and infant care programs. Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship, classroom management guidance, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR certifications. Oversee daily classroom activities to promote engaging learning experiences while maintaining a safe environment for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Manage enrollment processes, parent communication, and community outreach to foster strong relationships with families. Maintain accurate records related to child progress, attendance, incident reports, and licensing documentation. Coordinate staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and support team collaboration to uphold high standards of childcare quality. Skills Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices. Proven experience in classroom management within daycare or preschool settings. Strong understanding of special education needs and working with children with disabilities. Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, and CPR is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
