Child Care Center Director (Pre-Licensing) Libby's Busy Bee Academy - Hughesville, MD Libby's Busy Bee Academy is seeking a qualified Child Care Center Director to lead the launch of our new early learning center. We are currently in the pre-licensing phase and need a strong leader to oversee operations, staffing, and compliance from the ground up. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with Maryland OCC regulations Lead the licensing and inspection process Hire, train, and supervise staff Maintain a safe, structured, and high-quality learning environment Build strong relationships with families and staff Required Qualifications (Maryland OCC) Candidates must be Director-qualified in Maryland and meet ONE of the following: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (with coursework) Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education with experience CDA + 45-hour Preschool Certification (+ Infant/Toddler if applicable) + experience 90-hour Preschool Certification + Infant/Toddler Certification (if applicable) + extensive experience Additional Requirements Minimum 2 years in a licensed childcare setting Prior leadership or supervisory experience Knowledge of Maryland licensing and inspections Must pass background check and meet OCC requirements Preferred Experience opening a new childcare center CPR/First Aid certification This is a unique opportunity to help build a center from the ground up. Pay:

$55,210.28 - $60,000.00 per year
