The family is primarily looking for a strong nanny, but would especially welcome a candidate interested in a combined nanny/household manager role .
Preferred Start Date:
October 5, flexible for the right candidate
Schedule:
Primarily Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Guaranteed Hours:
Approximately 30-40 hours per week
Optional Hours:
Occasional weekend hours may be available
Contract:
One-year household employment agreement
Pay:
$25-$30 per hour for the combined nanny/household manager role , depending on experience and qualifications Primary Childcare Responsibilities The nanny's first priority will be attentive, safe, and engaged care of the children.
Responsibilities include:
Direct care and supervision Infant feeding and bottle care Supporting naps and bedtime routines Age-appropriate play and developmental activities Planning activities and outings Transportation to preschool, activities, appointments, and outings Preparing children's meals and snacks Children's laundry Children's dishes and meal cleanup Tidying children's rooms, toys, and activity areas The 3-year-old attends preschool part-time. Optional Household Manager Responsibilities For candidates interested in the combined role, additional responsibilities may include: Family laundry Family meal preparation Grocery shopping Household organization Appointment and vendor coordination Basic pet-related tasks Childcare will always remain the priority.
Qualifications Required:
At least 2 years of professional childcare experience Infant or newborn experience Experience caring for multiple children Current CPR and First Aid certification Valid driver's license Comfortable transporting children Strong professional references Reliable, punctual, and communicative Preferred but not required: Early Childhood Education degree or related education Household manager or family assistant experience Ideal Candidate The family is looking for someone who is warm, dependable, proactive, and organized. The ideal candidate takes initiative with both childcare and appropriate household tasks, communicates clearly with parents, and enjoys actively planning play, outings, and developmentally appropriate activities rather than simply supervising. Driving The nanny is expected to drive as part of the position. The family may be able to provide a household vehicle for work-related transportation. If the nanny uses a personal vehicle, qualifying work mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS standard business mileage rate .
