Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education community as a Child Care Director, where you will lead and inspire a team dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering a safe, engaging environment for children. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and promote best practices in childhood development. Your passion for working with children and your leadership skills will help create a warm, inclusive space where every child can thrive and grow. Duties Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development and learning. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior strategies, and curriculum implementation. Develop and implement age-appropriate programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities. Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety standards through regular inspections and documentation. Coordinate staff scheduling, training sessions—including first aid and special education certifications—and performance evaluations. Foster positive relationships with families by communicating regularly about their child's progress and addressing any concerns promptly. Oversee enrollment processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure all staff hold necessary certifications in childcare, early childhood education, or related fields. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Proven experience in classroom management within daycare or preschool settings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners. Ability to implement behavior management strategies that support positive social-emotional growth. Certifications in first aid, CPR, and health & safety standards are required; experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Familiarity with classroom experience involving infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and working with children who have diverse needs. Pay:
$45,516.73 - $54,815.84 per year
