This vital role involves creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where young children can thrive and develop essential skills. The Child Care Director will ensure compliance with licensing regulations, foster a positive team culture, and promote best practices in childhood development and education. Duties Manage the overall operation of the childcare center, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and regulatory compliance Develop and maintain a safe, welcoming environment that promotes learning, growth, and well-being for children of various ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs Recruit, train, evaluate, and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality classroom management and child development instruction Oversee daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to educational standards and individualized care plans for children with disabilities or special needs Implement policies related to mandated reporting laws, health & safety protocols, and licensing requirements Foster strong communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and center events Coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff in areas such as early childhood education, behavior management, pediatric first aid, and special education practices Requirements Proven experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings; classroom experience is essential Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining a positive team environment Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required; a genuine passion for working with children is essential Join us in shaping young minds through compassionate leadership and innovative early childhood programming.
