In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Your leadership will inspire a team of dedicated caregivers and educators to deliver exceptional early childhood education and care. The Child Care Director will also foster positive relationships with families, maintain compliance with licensing standards, and promote a culture of growth, learning, and well-being for all children in our care. Duties Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, infant care, and special education needs. Supervise and support staff by providing training in classroom management, behavior management, caregiving techniques, and emergency procedures such as first aid. Oversee daily classroom activities to ensure safety, engagement, and educational quality across all age groups. Maintain compliance with local licensing regulations and health and safety standards; conduct regular inspections and documentation. Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication, updates on child progress, and addressing individual needs related to working with children with disabilities or special needs. Manage enrollment processes, maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones. Coordinate staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and promote ongoing professional development in early childhood education practices. Ensure that all caregivers hold necessary certifications such as first aid and CPR; facilitate additional training in childhood development or working with individuals with disabilities as needed. Experience Proven experience working with children in daycare settings or early childhood education environments. Classroom management experience demonstrating the ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Prior experience in nannying or babysitting that involved caregiving for multiple children is advantageous. Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored to young children's developmental stages. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional qualifications such as special education training or working with individuals with disabilities are highly valued. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion while ensuring safety at all times.
