Job Description
ob Description We are seeking a compassionate, reliable caregiver to provide in-home support for our 10 year old son with Down syndrome. This role combines elements of nanny care, personal care assistance (PCA), and play-based developmental support. The ideal candidate enjoys working one-on-one with children, is imaginative and creative with play, is patient and engaging, and is comfortable supporting daily routines while encouraging learning and independence. Responsibilities Engage the child in play-based learning and activities Support daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, meals, and transitions Encourage communication, interaction, and developmental skills Provide calm and supportive guidance when the child becomes frustrated Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment Communicate with parents about the child's activities and progress Qualifications Experience working with children (childcare, nannying, PCA, behavioral support, education, etc.) preferred Experience with developmental delays or special needs is a plus Patient, dependable, and attentive Comfortable working in a home setting Reliable transportation Schedule Schedule includes weekday and/or weekend hours depending on availability.
