Hour Description:
We need a caring individual to help prepare our 15-year-old son, who has autism and significant needs, for school each morning. We are also open to a nanny who would be interested in more summer hours as well!
For the school year schedule:
The caregiver would arrive between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM to start the routine. The morning is generally very low-key and relaxed.
The support required involves:
Assisting him with getting dressed and brushing his teeth. Preparing his usual breakfast (dry Cheerios and water) and supervising him while he enjoys cartoons or his iPad. Administering his morning pill medications in applesauce after breakfast. The most essential requirement is being confident and comfortable with changing his brief, as he is non-verbal and requires assistance with this. The majority of the time is spent simply supervising him while he relaxes before heading to school. We also have a 10 year old son who doesn't need care but would need a ride to school each morning.
