Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny to provide exceptional care and support for an infant and a 1 year old in a home environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development, possess strong communication skills, and have experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere that promotes growth, curiosity, and well-being. As a vital member of the household team, you will implement age-appropriate activities, support learning milestones, and ensure children's needs are met with warmth and professionalism. Responsibilities Plan and execute engaging daily activities that foster cognitive, social, and emotional development based on principles of early childhood education and Montessori methods. Develop and adapt curriculum tailored to each child's developmental stage, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and creative play. Manage routines such as meal times, nap schedules, hygiene practices, and outdoor play to promote healthy habits. Monitor children's progress through regular observation and assessment-driven instruction; adjust activities accordingly to support learning goals. Collaborate with parents to communicate daily updates on children's behavior, achievements, and any concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Implement behavioral management strategies to promote positive interactions and conflict resolution among children. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to childcare safety standards, managing household supplies responsibly, and supervising children at all times. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in childcare settings or as a nanny, including toddlers and preschoolers. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment tools, and learning technology such as LMS (Learning Management Systems). Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities; understanding of academic interventions like Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents and other caregivers; ability to write clear reports or activity summaries. Knowledge of safety regulations related to childcare environments; conflict management skills for handling challenging behaviors. Certifications in first aid/CPR preferred; additional training in Montessori or preschool education is a plus.
