Job Description

About the
Family:
A resident physician family in St. Louis City is seeking a one-day week nanny to care for their 3-month-old baby. Both parents have demanding and variable schedules, often working nearly 60 hours per week, and the family is looking to hire two nannies to provide consistent coverage and support. The family is looking for a nanny who can be flexible with their residency schedules while remaining punctual, reliable, experienced, and genuinely committed to becoming a trusted part of their family. Their ideal nanny is health-conscious, enjoys spending time outdoors, well-read, self-motivated, and possesses excellent common sense and judgment. The family prefers to limit electronic device use while caring for their baby and values a nanny who is engaged, present, and attentive throughout the day. They enjoy an active, outdoors-oriented lifestyle, including walks at nearby parks, swimming, hiking, reading, birdwatching, and gardening. At home, they value a calm, organized, and structured environment and enjoy maintaining a consistent routine while keeping the home tidy. They hope to find a nanny who shares their values and will provide their baby with a warm, nurturing, dependable, and enriching environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on care for the infant, including feeding, diapering, dressing, bathing, and soothing. Support the infant's growth and development through age-appropriate play, reading, tummy time, and other engaging activities. Prepare bottles and infant meals/snacks as appropriate for the child's age and developmental stage. Maintain a clean and organized environment by completing child-related household tasks, including tidying play areas, washing bottles, and doing the infant's laundry. Follow and maintain the infant's established nap, feeding, and sleep routines. Provide daily outdoor time, including at least one walk each day when weather and conditions permit. Administer medication when necessary and directed by the parents, while prioritizing the infant's health and safety at all times. Provide a warm, nurturing, and emotionally supportive environment that promotes the infant's overall well-being. Communicate regularly with the parents regarding the infant's daily activities, development, milestones, mood, feeding, sleep, and any concerns. Occasionally assist with child-related errands, organizing activities, or other tasks that support the family's needs. Participate in thorough morning and evening handoffs with the other nanny and parents to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
