Job Title:
Professional Nanny /
Mother's Helper Location:
Belton, MO (Gated Community)
Schedule:
3 to 4 days per week (30-35+ hours/week)
Preferred Days:
Tuesday through Friday (No Sundays or Mondays)
Shift Times:
Flexible coverage needed across variable shifts:
Daytime:
~11:00 AM•7:00 PM Evening /
Date Night:
~2:00 PM•10:00 PM or 4:00 PM•Midnight (Fridays)

About the Position A warm, active, and organized family in Belton is seeking a skilled, highly professional nanny to care for their energetic 10-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative "Mother's Helper / Co-Worker" dynamic, working alongside engaged parents who are frequently present and involved. This role is perfect for a nanny who views childcare as a long-term career, values clear communication, and brings a proactive, structured approach to early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities Infant Care & Routine:
Provide attentive care for a mobile, crawling infant—following structured nap windows, formula feeding routines, and real-food meal schedules (following allergen-safety guidelines).
Development & Play:
Engage the child in meaningful, screen-free developmental activities (flashcards, interactive reading, independent play, and outdoor exploration). Household Support (During Naptimes): Children's laundry (washing, folding, putting away). Light tidying of play areas, nursery, and meal prep tools. Simple meal prep for the child and developmental activity planning. Travel Companion (Optional/As Needed): Accompany the family on occasional trips to assist with care (all expenses, per diem, and travel hours covered).
Family Preferences & Workplace Culture Educational Background:
Background in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or strong experience preparing children for preschool is highly valued.
Language Skills:
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a major plus!
Communication Style:
Direct, concise, and professional with adults; proactive and transparent regarding safety and daily updates.
Home Culture:
Grounded, respectful environment centered on safety and mutual trust.
Position & Home Details Environment:
Beautiful, newly built single-family residence with a guard-gated entrance.
Home Safety:
Gated stairs, secure outdoor pool area (heavy automatic cover kept locked), and unobtrusive common-area safety cameras.

House Rules:
Shoe-free home (house slippers provided or welcomed). Jovie Minimum Hiring Requirements To qualify for placement with Jovie of Greater Kansas City, candidates must meet the following baseline criteria:
Age:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Education:
High School Diploma Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of professional, verifiable childcare experience (nannying, daycares, teaching, or infant care).
Certifications:
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire).
Transportation:
Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and a clean driving record.
Background Check:
Must pass comprehensive national background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, and drug screenings.
Legal Authorization:
