This isn't a traditional housekeeping or nanny position. It's a unique role that blends household management, organization, errands, meal preparation, and after-school childcare. We already have a cleaning service, so we're not looking for someone to deep clean our home. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys creating order, notices what needs to be done without being asked, and takes pride in keeping a household running smoothly behind the scenes. RESPONSIBILITIES
Childcare Three afternoons each week: Pick up children from school (4th grader and Pre-K). Provide a safe, fun, and engaging after-school environment until approximately 6:00 PM. Prepare simple snacks and assist with after-school routines. Encourage outdoor play, reading, crafts, and creative activities. Help with homework as needed. Reset play areas before the end of the day.
HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT
Organization Keep closets, pantry, mudroom, and storage spaces organized. Rotate children's clothing and organize items they've outgrown. Organize toys, books, games, and art supplies. Assist with decluttering. Open deliveries, break down boxes, and keep incoming items organized. Daily Responsibilities Reset the kitchen and main living areas. Load and unload the dishwasher. Make beds and keep bedrooms tidy. Stay on top of household laundry. Keep shared spaces organized and welcoming. Assist with occasional pet care, including letting the dogs out, refreshing water bowls, and giving our pets a little extra love throughout the day. Weekly Responsibilities Prepare three family dinners each week. Change bed linens and towels. Grocery shop and restock household essentials. Empty trash and recycling. Sweep the kitchen, main living areas, and porches. Wipe down counters and touch up high-use areas between professional cleanings. Errands UPS, FedEx, Post Office, etc. Returns and exchanges. Car wash, fuel, and occasional vehicle service appointments. Shopping/Restocking Household Supplies Miscellaneous errands that help keep the household running efficiently. Household Support Coordinate occasional family and home service appointments. Prepare the home for guests or family gatherings. Monitor household supplies and communicate when items need to be replenished. Assist with seasonal organization, holiday decorating and storage, and special household projects. Help anticipate needs and take ownership of the day-to-day details that keep our home running smoothly. We're looking for someone who is: Warm, kind, and patient with children. Able to anticipate needs rather than waiting for direction. A safe, reliable driver who is comfortable transporting children and running household errands.
