Dad runs his own business and travels often for work. Together they have a sharp, high-energy toddler son (18 months at start date) , and a baby girl on the way, due mid-September. No pets. Healthy household. Big on outdoor time, parks, reading, and keeping screens out of the equation. The Role This position begins July 15th and grows beautifully with the family . Here's how it unfolds: July
- December | Mon-Fri, ~6 hours/day — The primary focus will be toddler care.
Mom will be home studying for boards and then transitioning into newborn life when baby girl arrives in September, so the nanny's main job is keeping their little boy engaged, active, and learning. When mom is available and doesn't need childcare support, the nanny pitches in on household tasks — so the two responsibilities don't stack on top of each other. Family laundry and keeping the kitchen tidy are the two household tasks the family asks to be consistent. January 2027 onward | Mon-Fri; Exact Schedule TBD (expected late fall): When mom returns to work, the nanny will shift into caring for both children . Mom's exact work schedule is still TBD, but it should be known in late fall. We anticipate the nanny's schedule adjusting to having longer days 3 times per week (at times can be up to 10 hour days) and a few additional hours on the other two days. What the Day Looks Like Childcare is the heart of this role. Expect active, intentional days with park runs, educational play, music, puzzles, books, and meals made with care. The family prioritizes learning-forward activities and consistent routines over screen time, and they want a nanny who brings that same energy naturally. When childcare wraps, the nanny supports the household. This includes things like managing laundry, general tidying, running child-related errands, and during the initial move-in period, helping unpack and organize. Think of it as the other half of being a true household partner — not juggling both roles simultaneously. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is: Energetic and active — someone who can cheerfully chase a spirited toddler at the park and do it again tomorrow Teaching-forward — proactive about incorporating learning into everyday play, not just physical activity Flexible — schedule changes are a reality in a medical household, and a calm, adaptable attitude is non-negotiable Takes initiative — when mom is studying or unavailable, this person reads the room, makes good decisions, and doesn't wait to be told what's needed A strong communicator — open, honest, and collaborative with parents In it for the long haul — this family wants someone who will grow with their children for years to come
- Portuguese speaker would be amazing, but is not required.
- Nanny does NOT need to be religious, but should be comfortable with the family's Catholic faith and conservative values.
