Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Childcare Afternoon Supervisor/Closer to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the safe and engaging supervision of children and staff during afternoon hours, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes growth, learning, and fun. As a key team member responsible for closing operations, you will foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff while maintaining high standards of safety and classroom management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working in a dynamic, supportive environment. Duties This is a Fulltime position from 10am-6pm or Part time from 2-6pm Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns Strictly adhere to all Licensing, Fire and Health Regulations Over see operations in Director's absence including staff management Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Cover a classroom for teacher breaks and vacations Prepare and serve meals when cook is absent Complete end-of-day reports, attendance logs, and incident documentation accurately Assist with closing procedures such as cleaning, organizing supplies, and securing the facility Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Childcare leadership experience required Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to nurturing young minds! Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
