We are seeking a specialized caregiver for our 1 year-old infant who is currently enrolled in New Mexico's Family Infant Toddler (FIT) Program. This position goes beyond traditional childcare; you will act as a vital developmental partner, collaborating directly with the child's therapists (PT/OT/Speech) to implement early intervention strategies in a nurturing home setting. Responsibilities Attend FIT program sessions with the family. Observe clinical techniques and exercises, learn the customized "homework," and integrate these into the baby's daily play and routines. Report to parents about daily activities, progress, and any observations relevant to the child's development and overall health. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, administer daily medications with accuracy, and provide attentive personal care and hygiene. Maintain a sanitary environment optimal for a high-needs infant (washing/sterilizing bottles, organizing therapy materials, and handling the baby's laundry only). Accompany the parent to local appointments, therapy sessions, or developmental outings using your valid driver's license. Use behavior management techniques to encourage positive behaviors and support emotional regulation Requirements Knowledge or prior experience in working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education programs Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, therapists, and team members Special needs

Infant Experience:

Proven confidence and experience handling infants. Prior experience working with individuals with dissabilities, neurodivergent, or medically fragile infants is highly preferred yet not required. Ability to engage children through teaching activities that promote growth across cognitive, motor, and social domains Knowledge of Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Speech/Occupational Therapy assisting, or a related field is highly valued CPR and First Aid Certification is preferred (or willingness to renew immediately). Must possess a clean driving record and pass a background check.
