Experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) - Overnight Support | Reno, NV Are you a compassionate, experienced Newborn Care Specialist who loves supporting families during those precious first days with a new baby? We are seeking a knowledgeable and nurturing professional to provide overnight care, guidance, and education for a growing family in Reno, NV . This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping first weeks at home feel calm, supported, and confident.
Position Details Location:
Reno, NV Start:
Estimated due date of October 7 , though the family anticipates delivery may occur around 38 weeks .
Schedule:
10 overnight shifts (8 hours per night) following baby's arrival. The family is flexible with scheduling days off within the 10-night care plan. Seeking an on-call Newborn Care Specialist who can remain available in the event baby arrives 1-2 weeks earlier than expected . Responsibilities Provide exceptional overnight newborn care. Support healthy sleep habits and establish age-appropriate routines. Feed, soothe, diaper, and monitor the newborn throughout the night. Educate and empower parents with newborn care techniques and best practices. Maintain a calm, organized, and supportive overnight environment. Follow safe sleep guidelines and newborn care best practices. Qualifications Previous professional experience as a Newborn Care Specialist or extensive newborn care experience. Certification as a Newborn Care Specialist is required. Strong knowledge of infant development, safe sleep practices, and newborn feeding. Infant CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start). Dependable, professional, and able to remain on-call around the family's expected delivery window. Excellent communication skills and a warm, supportive demeanor. Compensation $30.00-$38.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
