Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated drop in child care staff to join our team! As a drop in child care staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for our participants. You will be responsible for supervising activities, mentoring students, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. The ages of children vary from 4 months to nine year olds. We are looking for someone Monday/Wednesday/Thursday from 5:00pm-7:30pm, Fridays from 4:30pm-6:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-11:30am. Starting in Mid-June, we will also be looking for someone Monday-Friday 9am-12pm. Duties Supervise and engage with students during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical fitness. Provide support in behavior management and conflict resolution among students to maintain a harmonious environment. Foster positive relationships with participants through effective communication and active listening. Assist in the development of educational programs that align with the program's mission and values. Serve as a role model by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and enthusiasm in all interactions. Collaborate with fellow staff to create a cohesive team environment that prioritizes participant experiences. Change diapers and provide snack as needed. Requirements Previous experience in babysitting, tutoring, or childcare is preferred. Familiarity with behavior management and classroom management techniques is advantageous. Experience working with students or children in a camp or daycare setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inspire young minds. Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed. Passion for working with children and commitment to fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
