Job Description

Overview A warm and welcoming first-time family in Harrison, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and knowledgeable Newborn Care Specialist or highly experienced infant nanny to provide daytime support for their infant son, currently 6 weeks old. The family is looking for a candidate who can provide attentive infant care while supporting the parents in establishing routines, encouraging healthy sleep habits, and helping ease the transition into life with a newborn. Both parents are actively involved in their son's care, and the mother works from home; the father occasionally does as well. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, supportive, and comfortable working alongside hands-on parents. There is one domestic short-haired cat in the home. Schedule The family anticipates needing support approximately 2-3 days per week. Current preferred schedule (20 guaranteed hours/weekly): Tuesday
  • 10am through 4pm Thursday
  • 10am through 4pm Saturday
  • 10am through 6pm The family has indicated flexibility regarding scheduling and is open to discussing alternative arrangements with the right candidate.
Duration Temporary position anticipated to last approximately 2-3 months.

Looking for an immediate start date through September 1st, 2026. Responsibilities Providing attentive care for the infant Supporting age-appropriate feeding and sleep routines Assisting with the development of consistent daily schedules Monitoring developmental milestones and newborn wellness Educating and supporting first-time parents as needed Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for the child Bottle washing and sterilization Baby laundry Nursery organization Keeping baby supplies stocked and organized Sleep conditioning/support Developmental milestone tracking Parent coaching and newborn education Requirements Extensive newborn and infant care experience Strong understanding of infant sleep, feeding, and developmental milestones Professional, reliable, and communicative demeanor Comfortable working collaboratively with involved parents CPR and First Aid certification preferred Salary and Benefits $40
